What is in the Energy (Myers) IV Drip?

  • Sodium chloride 0.9% (1 litre). The base fluid the nutrients are mixed into.
  • B-complex (B1, B2, B3 and B6). B vitamins contribute to normal energy-yielding metabolism, normal nervous system function and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
  • Vitamin B12. Contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism, normal red blood cell formation and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
  • Amino acid blend. Amino acids are the building blocks of protein.
  • Magnesium. Contributes to normal muscle function, normal nervous system function, electrolyte balance and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.

Comfort add-ons are available on request. See the IV drip extras for single-nutrient boosts.

Who it is for

People who feel run down and want nutritional support for energy metabolism. A vitamin and nutrient blood test can show whether B12, folate or iron are low first.

Who should check first

Tell our clinician about allergies, kidney or heart conditions, pregnancy or breastfeeding, and any medication. A clinical check is done before every drip. Not a diagnosis. See your GP about symptoms.

Possible side effects

Bruising or soreness at the cannula site, a brief cool feeling, lightheadedness or nausea. Rarely, allergic reactions or vein irritation. B vitamins can turn urine bright yellow, which is harmless.
