1:1 Life Coaching for Men & Women, Online from London
Built around your actual life, not a generic programme. Honest direction and real accountability from someone who has rebuilt his own life from scratch.
Short answer: This is online 1:1 life coaching for men and women, run on Zoom from London by Sam Dobinson, founder of MASBOD. A single 60-minute session costs £75, a 6-session package £420 (£70 a session) and a 12-session package £750 (£62.50 a session). Every plan is built around your situation, with regular sessions and genuine follow-through between them. You can start with a free 15-minute clarity call. Coaching is about direction and accountability. It is not therapy, counselling or medical advice, and it is not for anyone in crisis.
Your coach
Coaching from someone who has actually lived it
I'm not a coach who read about this in a book. Everything MASBOD is built on, sobriety, discipline and rebuilding, I've actually lived through, and coaching is where that gets applied directly to your specific situation, not general advice you could find in an article.
MASBOD started with getting sober, and having to rebuild pretty much everything else around that decision: how I dressed, how I trained, how I treated people, what I actually spent my time on. Nobody handed me a manual for any of it. I worked it out the hard way, over years, mostly by getting things wrong first. Coaching is what I wish someone had put in front of me at the start: not a lifestyle to perform for other people, but an actual standard to hold yourself to, built one decision at a time.
Sam Dobinson, founder, MASBOD

My story with alcohol and drugs, in my own words. I sat down with a psychotherapist from my clinic and talked honestly about what I was running from, what it cost me, and what I do now. It runs just over 30 minutes.
This is my own experience, not medical advice. Watch on YouTube.
Is this right for you?
Who coaching is for
This is for you if
You're stalled, drifting or starting over. You know roughly what to do but don't do it consistently. You want structure and honest accountability, and you're ready to put in the work.
This isn't for you if
You need therapy or clinical support, you're in crisis (please contact your GP, or call Samaritans free on 116 123), or you're looking for a quick fix. I'll tell you straight on the free call if it isn't the right fit.
Coaching is for men and women. This isn't therapy. It's direction and accountability: figuring out what you actually want, building a real plan to get there, and having someone check in on whether you actually did it.
Not sure where to start?
Book a free 15-minute clarity call
No pressure, no obligation. A genuine conversation, not a sales call: an honest chat about where you are, where you want to be, and whether coaching is the right next step. I'll tell you straight.

Coaching areas
Where we might focus
Every plan is built around you, but these are the areas that come up most.
Career & purpose
Feeling stuck, unfulfilled or unsure of your next move: getting clear on what you actually want and building a real plan to get there.
Relationships & confidence
Romantic relationships, family dynamics, or simply believing in yourself: understanding your patterns and building healthier connections.
Health & lifestyle
Weight, energy and habits that actually stick: a full lifestyle shift, not just a list of things to try.
Stress & burnout recovery
If you're running on empty, understanding the root causes and rebuilding resilience: coming back stronger, not just recovered.
Mindset & performance
Self-sabotage and limiting beliefs, worked through at the root, to create real and lasting change.
Sobriety & sober living
Deeply personal coaching for people exploring or committed to sober living: not about willpower, about understanding why, and building something better in its place.
What this looks like
How online coaching works
A real conversation first
We start with a call to see if this is actually the right fit, for both of us. No pressure, no hard sell.
A plan built around you
Not a template. Whatever's going on in your life, career, health, relationships or sobriety shapes what we work on.
Regular sessions, real accountability
Ongoing 1:1 sessions on Zoom, with genuine follow-through between them, not just an hour a month and hoping for the best.
If you're starting this week
Support if you need it now
Take one day at a time. Don't worry about Saturday until you've got through Friday. If you can put your head on the pillow tonight sober, that counts. If alcohol or drugs are causing you harm, speak to your GP, and if you're thinking of stopping after heavy or long-term drinking, get medical advice first, because stopping suddenly can be dangerous.

Questions
Life coaching: frequently asked questions
What does 1:1 coaching actually involve?
Regular one-to-one sessions built around your actual situation, not a generic programme. We start with what's genuinely going on for you, then build a practical plan and hold you to it.
Is this therapy?
No. Coaching is about direction and accountability, not treating mental health conditions. If you need therapy or clinical support, I'll say so honestly and point you somewhere better suited to help.
What is the difference between a life coach and a therapist?
A therapist works with mental health, past experiences and clinical needs. A coach focuses on where you want to go: your goals, habits, decisions and follow-through. If you are in crisis, speak to your GP or call Samaritans free on 116 123.
Is coaching for men and women?
Yes. Coaching is open to men and women. Every plan is built around your own situation, whatever your background.
Do I need to be struggling to start coaching?
No. Many people come because they are stalled, drifting or starting over, or because they know what to do but don't do it consistently. You don't need to be at rock bottom to want structure and accountability.
How much does life coaching cost?
A single 60-minute session is £75. The 6-session package is £420 (£70 a session) and the 12-session package is £750 (£62.50 a session). The first 15-minute clarity call is free.
Do you offer online coaching?
Yes. All sessions run online on Zoom from London, so you can work with me from anywhere in the UK.
Do you offer sobriety coaching?
Yes. I coach people who are exploring or committed to sober living. It's not about willpower, it's about understanding why and building something better in its place. This is coaching, not medical or addiction treatment.
What happens on the free clarity call?
It's a genuine 15-minute conversation about where you are, where you want to be and whether coaching is the right next step. No pressure, and I'll tell you straight if it isn't the right fit.
Can I book a session without a call first?
Yes. You can book a single session or either package directly. The free call is optional.
Ready to talk?
Book your free clarity call, or email me a bit about where you're at and I'll get back to you personally.
