Folate

Folate works alongside B12 in the methylation cycle — a fundamental biochemical process that affects neurotransmitter production, DNA repair, and the regulation of homocysteine. Deficiency causes cognitive symptoms almost identical to B12 deficiency and is frequently co-occurring.
